Avonne Connor, MPH, PhD, Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Epidemiology and Population Health, published “Differences between Hispanic and non-Hispanic white women with breast cancer for clinical characteristics and their correlates” in Annals of Epidemiology. MPH student, Nikka Sorrells, presents at national conference
Nikka Sorrells, MPH student, will present the poster, "Assessing the difference in burn prevention between two groups," at the Society of Pediatric Nurses Annual Convention, April 11 - 14, 2013 in Nashville. The poster presents findings from a randomized study that examined the difference in knowledge between a burn prevention class group versus a home visit group. Yearly, 300 children are hospitalized in north central Kentucky due to burn injuries.
