Published research on college students’ exposure to tobacco marketing
John Myers, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics co-authored the article, “College Students’ Exposure to Tobacco Marketing in Nightclubs and Bars” with S. Lee Ridner, PhD, Ellen J. Hahn, PhD, and Tiffany N. Ciszewski, BSS. The article was published in the November/December 2010 issue of the Journal of American College Health. This study examined whether a college student’s exposure to tobacco marketing in nightclubs and bars was affected by the presence of a smoke-free law. This work was conducted as part of an American Cancer Society grant, Influence of Tobacco Marketing on Smoking Frequency in Young Adults.
