PhD student, Phil Smeltzer, receives Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky award
Phil Smeltzer, a doctoral student in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences, received a Bost Memorial Scholar award from the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky. This funding is available to help cover costs related to a masters or doctoral student’s proposed research. Mr. Smeltzer received $5000 to support his dissertation on the role of positive affect influences in helping individuals who are overweight or obese to adhere to a behavior modification program to alter their eating and exercise habits. http://www.healthy-ky.org/
