PhD student, Kent Brown, co-authors article for the International Council on Active Aging

The article, “Plan exercise for individuals using assistive devices,” was published in July/August issue of Functional U, an International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) online publication. Co-authored by Joe Kachelman, MS, Robert Topp, RN, PhD and Kent Brown, MS, CSCS, this piece describes how various types of regular exercise can reverse declines in functioning and diminish fears of falling, which are common among older individuals who walk with assistive devices. Kent Brown is pursing a PhD in Public Health Sciences in Health Promotion.
