- John Myers, PhD, Assistant Professor, Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatics, assisted with grading AP Statistics Exams administered by the National College Board. This year nearly 144,000 exams were administered. Dr. Myers is one of only 1000 individuals who has been certified to grade these exams. Dr. Myers also chaired the the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion’s Special Emphasis Panel on Sleep Disorders held on June 21.
- David Tollerud, MD, PhD, Chair, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, was asked by the Provost to serve as a member of the 2011-2012 Education and Research Committee of the Sustainability Council. The committee’s charge is to inventory sustainability research activities, examine incentives for involvement, and look at instituting sustainability practices in co-curricular education, curriculum, faculty and staff incentives, orientation and behavior change programs.
