SPHIS Convocation Events

Tuesday, May 5
Graduation Dinner - Masterson's, 7 - 9 PM, dinner buffet and cash bar. Tickets are still available. Please contact Becky Eberle if you would like to attend. Directions to Masterson's can be found at http://www.mastersons.com/.

Wednesday, May 6
Baseball Game - UofL versus Ohio State, Jim Patterson Stadium. Game starts at 12 PM, food provided. Tickets are still available. Please contact Becky Eberle if you would like to attend.

Thursday, May 7
Day at the Downs - Churchill Downs, Boxes 519 & 520, gates open at 11:30, first race 12:45. This event is by invitation only due to a limited number of tickets. Please contact Tammi Thomas if you have any questions.

SPHIS Convocation

SPHIS Convocation is scheduled Friday, May 8 at 4 PM at the Kentucky Exposition Center (aka, the Fairgrounds), West Hall B. Everyone is asked to arrive no later than 3:00. The platform party (Deans, Chairs and Program Directors) should arrive by 2:45 to do a brief run through prior to the ceremony.

Parking

Parking passes can be printed at < http://louisville.edu/commencement/images/parking-passes.html > or picked up from the SPHIS reception desk. Use the pass marked REHEARSAL for SPHIS convocation on Friday. If you don't have a pass, you will have to pay the Kentucky Exposition Center parking fee. 

Apparel

Faculty should pick-up their apparel on Tuesday, May 5 (ONLY) in the Abel Building Room 110,  from 1 - 4:30 PM. Apparel received from the university should be left in the robing room following convocation.

Photos

Due to the growth of the school, the Office of Student Services will not be coordinating "formal" group photos during convocation. Even though we will not be coordinating this activity, the opportunity for group photos will be available. Any department or program that wishes to have a photo taken should arrange to meet between 2:45 - 3:45 PM outside of West Hall B by the SPHIS banner. Marion, the UofL photographer, will be taking photos in this location on a first come, first served basis.

University-wide Ceremony

Saturday, May 9
9:30 AM - Doctoral Hooding Ceremony (Ph.D., Ed.D and Au.D. students only) and SIGS honors; Kentucky Exposition Center, West Hall B. Dean Clover will be attending on behalf of the school.

11 AM - 12:30 PM - President's Reception, Kentucky Exposition Center North Wing Atrium.  Attendance is optional.

1 PM - University wide commencement ceremony. Kentucky Exposition Center; Dr. Clover has requested that department chairs attend. A parking pass can be printed at: http://louisville.edu/commencement/images/parking-passes.html
