Mo and Wan publish in Toxicology in Vitro
Yiqun Mo, MD, PhD, Senior Research Associate, and Rong Wan, MD, PhD, Research Associate, Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences (EOHS), co-authored the article, “Combination effects of cigarette smoke extract and ambient ultrafine particles on endothelial cells” in the journal Toxicology in Vitro, Volume 26, published March 2012. The study found that the combined effects of ambient ultrafine particles and cigarette smoke on vascular endothelial cells causes enhanced injury to endothelial cells. Additional authors from the department include Drs. Lingfang Feng, David Tollerud, and Qunwei Zhang, EOHS; and Sufan Chien of the UofL School of Medicine.
