Local health care community discussion informs Obama-Biden transition team
On Jan. 7, over 100 people attended the Health Care Community Discussion to share their recommendations for what the Obama-Biden transition team can do to improve the quality of, access to, and affordability of health. Dr. David Tollerud, chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, moderated the discussion, which focused on eHealth, health disparities, access to health care and the special needs of children. A video of the event and a summary of the key points raised will be submitted to the Obama-Biden Transition Team. The forum was sponsored by Save the Children, the University of Louisville, UofL Health Care and University Health Care, Inc. (d/b/a/ Passport Health Plans).
