Gall honored by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
Stanley A. Gall, MD, professor in the department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health and the School of Public Health and Information Sciences received the ACOG Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes outstanding individuals in obstetrics and gynecology who have made important contributions within ACOG, government, research, teaching or direct patient care.
Dr. Gall’s award presentation cited a distinguished academic career at the University of Miami, Duke University, University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Louisville. He served ACOG as vice chair and chair at the district level and on the executive board, chaired several committees related to the Annual Clinical Meeting and served on the committees on Nominations and Development. He is an ACOG representative to the working group that developed the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices’ recommendations for the HPV vaccine. Gall also chairs an ACOG task force on adolescent, adult and maternal immunization.
