Every week, UofL is recognizing individuals, units or colleges within the university that are doing meaningful work in the area of academics, athletics, research or medicine that support the well-being of women. Kathy Baumgartner, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology and Population Health, was recognized for her investigation into how breast cancer impacts quality of life in survivors almost 15 years after their diagnosis, in addition to recurrent disease and survival.
