Dr. Doug Lorenz joins bioinformatics and biostatistics faculty
Doug Lorenz, PhD, will join the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics (DBB) as an Assistant Professor on Sept. 1, 2011. Dr. Lorenz worked for several years as a biostatistician in the DBB and taught at UofL and JCTCS. In addition to earning a PhD in Applied and Industrial Mathematics from the UofL Department of Mathematics, Dr. Lorenz has an MSPH in Biostatistics/Decision Science, an MA in Mathematics, and a BS in Mathematics, Cum Laude. He has published numerous scientific papers and received many awards, including the Graduate Dean's Citation and membership in the Golden Key National Honor Society. He is an Accredited Statistician of the American Statistical Association.
