Adewale Troutman, MD, MPHA, MA, is one of two candidates nominated to serve as president-elect of the American Public Health Association (APHA). The member elected by the Governing Council will become president-elect at the close of the 2007 APHA Annual Meeting and assume presidency at the close of the 2008 Annual Meeting. Dr. Troutman's biographical sketch and personal statement is published in the August 2007 issue of Nation's Health, the official newsletter of the APHA. Dr. Troutman is currently the director of the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness and associate professor at the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences.
