Congratulations to graduate, Dr. Sula Hood
On July 23, Sula Hood successfully defended her PhD dissertation, entitled "The Influence of Social Contextual Conditions and Basic Psychological Need Fulfillment on Self-Management and Emotional Distress Among Urban African American Adults With Type-2 Diabetes mellitus: A Mixed Methods Study." Dr. Hood had been a doctoral student in the in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. She has accepted a postdoctoral fellowship in the Cancer Health Disparities Training Program at the Gillings Global School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
