Academics

The Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences puts a principle emphasis on teaching, research and community service related to influencing health-related behavior as well as the economic, environmental, organizational, and policy supports necessary for long-term health improvement.  The department is also exploring new concepts of cognitive science, informatics, and decision analysis as they relate to health promotion and education.  The department offers a concentration in the MPH program and a PhD in Health Promotion.
