Background

Ph.D. (2003), Statistics, University of New Mexico
M.S. (2000), Statistics, University of New Mexico
B.S. (1996), Biochemistry, University of Colorado

Post-doc in Statistical Genetics, 2003-2005, University of Pittsburgh.

I joined the Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics in July 2005 as an Assistant Professor.  Currently, I also serve as the Director of the Statistical Consulting Center (since 01/31/2007).

Research Interests

My primary research interests are in the areas of statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and genomics. Recent projects include developing methods for nonparametric linkage analysis in extended pedigrees, missing value estimation in microarray data, and cluster validation software. I also have collaborative efforts with Epidemiology and Public Health, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Infectious Disease, Surgery, and Molecular, Cellular, and Craniofacial Biology.
