Background

B.S., 1990, Probability and Statistics, Peking University, P.R. China.
M.S., 1993, Probability and Statistics, Peking University, P.R. China.
M.S., 1999, Computer Science, University of California, Santa Barbara.
Ph.D.,1999, Statistics, University of California, Santa Barbara.

I joined the Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics in September 2007 as an Associate Professor. Before that, I was an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University (tenured and promoted to associate prof in Spring 2007).

Research Interests

My main research area is in probability modeling and statistical inferences in periodic cancer screening.

Current Projects

a. When to schedule next mamogram for an asymptomatic woman with her screening history?
b. How to evaluate benefit for periodic cancer screening?

Honors and Awards
