You are invited to attend a 90 minute interactive training called Safe Zone I on behalf of the LGBT Center and HSC Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
Safe Zone I training is considered "best practices" in universities across the nation, and partly responsible for our recent recognition at the University of Louisville for earning a best-possible five out of five stars on the national LGBT-Friendly Campus Climate Index.
We are proud to bring this training to the HSC campus on August 22nd from 12-1:30pm inK-Wing 2003. Please reserve your delicious free lunch by emailing Stacie.Steinbock@louisville.edu.
Safe Zone I training provides education on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community that contributes to a safe and welcoming experience for all members of the university. The Safe Zone training for HSC staff and faculty additionally helps participants understand LGBT-specific health issues relevant to academic medicine, practice and research. Safe Zone training includes a panel of people from the LGBT community, Q&A session and an overview of emerging LGBT health issues for researchers and health care providers.
