During National Public Health Week, SPHIS is hosting a series of events to focus attention on several issues and changes that must be addressed to create a healthier community. We invite the entire SPHIS community – students, faculty, staff, alumni, and partners –to join us for an exciting week of events.

Students, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends are encouraged to participate in National Public Health Week (NPHW) by tweeting on various public health topics.

Throughout the week, please tweet your messages promoting the NPHW themes using the hashtag #NPHW and tagging @ULSPHIS.

  • The tweet that has the most favorites by 3 p.m. on Friday, April 6, will win a prize!
  • @ULSPHIS will tweet out a trivia question Monday, April 2, through Friday, April 6 at noon. All those who answer correctly within a given timeframe will be entered to win some awesome SPHIS swag!
  • Tag @ULSPHIS in your tweets and use #NPHW
  • Other relevant hashtags include: #NPHWChat, #HealthiestNation, and/or #ChangeOurFutureTogether
  • Remember, a tweet is now 280 characters (instead of 140) and can include links, photos, and videos.

Need inspiration? Below are the NPHW daily themes you can tweet along with.

-- Mon., April 2: Behavioral Health - Advocate for and promote well-being
-- Tues., April 3: Communicable Diseases - Learn about ways to prevent disease transmission
-- Wed., April 4: Environmental Health - Help to protect and maintain a healthy planet
