I’m a Louisville native and passionate about improving the health of the population here. Having seen the city grow and change over time, for better or worse, I appreciate the importance and role of public health in bringing about health equity and addressing social determinants.
Education
BA - Biological Anthropology, University of Louisville
MPH - Health Management concentration, University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences
PhD in Public Health Sciences - Health Management concentration, University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Sciences
Research Interests
Public health networks, public-private partnerships and/or community coalitions; pedagogy in public health as well as workforce development through public health education; local food systems, nutrition, and food security as public health issues.
Current Projects
Teaching in the UofL Public Health Undergraduate Program, development of manuscripts from doctoral research, Health in All Policies work with the Institute for Healthy Air, Water and Soil
