Louisville Youth Voices Against Violence (LYVV) Fellows

Louisville Youth Voices Against Violence (LYVV) Fellows are an integral part of YVPRC’s work focusing on changing the perception that violence is normal, accepted and expected, especially among African American youth. Fellows get the opportunity to participate in learning sessions and engage in research related to African American history and social action; take an active part in the development of the violence prevention campaign; and have the chance to engage in personal development opportunities  in diverse areas such as activism and advocacy.

Each fellow spends 20 hours a week working on different aspects of the campaign including developing the campaign message, identifying relevant historical components, and deciding on media outlets for dissemination.
