Five Faculty, One Student named Faculty Favorites for 2016-2017 (Dec 2017)

Congratulations to our faculty members Jeremy Gaskins, Doug Lorenz, Riten Mitra, Shesh Rai, and Dongfeng Wu, who have been named Faculty Favorites for the 2016-2017 academic year at the University of Louisville.  Congratulations also to Mary Gregg, a doctoral student in biostatistics, for being nominated a Faculty Favorite for her service as a tutor in the University's REACH program.  The Faculty Favorites program honors faculty for outstanding teaching by soliciting student nominations each year.  Visit the Faculty Favorites page to read the comments submitted by students about the teaching efforts of Ms. Gregg and Drs. Kong, Lewis, Lorenz named Faculty Favorites for 2015-2016 (Sep 2016)

Congratulations to Maiying Kong, Larry Lewis, and Doug Lorenz, who have been named Faculty Favorites for the 2015-2106 academic year at the University of Louisville.  The Faculty Favorites program solicits nominations from students each year, and each nominated faculty member is named as a Faculty Favorite.  Head over to the Faculty Favorites page to read some of the comments students submitted about Drs. Doug Lorenz named University “Top 4” Faculty Favorite (Feb 2015)

Congratulations to Doug Lorenz, Ph.D., who has been named a “Top 4” Faculty Favorite at the University of Louisville.  The Faculty Favorites program solicits nominations from students each year, and the top four nominated are honored with the “Top 4” Faculty Favorites award.  For more details, check out the School of Public Health and Information Sciences announcement and the University of Louisville’s news item.

K.B. Kulasekera and Shesh Rai named ASA Fellows (June 2014)

Congratulations to K.B. Kulasekera and Shesh Rai, who have been named fellows of the American Statistical Association (ASA).  The designation of fellow is awarded to only 1/3 of one percent of the ASA membership and recognizes outstanding leadership and professional contribution to the ASA and the field of statistics.  Check out the School of Public Health and Information Sciences announcement and the release from the ASA announcing their designation.
