The Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics at the School of Public Health and Information Science, University of Louisville, is proud to host the 2013 Southern Regional Council on StatisticsSummer Research Conference at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN.

This conference is co-sponsored byAmerican Statistical Association (ASA),The National Institute of Statistical Sciences (NISS) and  The National Science Foundation(NSF). To encourage faculty to participate in this conference, a new faculty contributed poster session has been added to this year's program.



All presenters please e-mail your slides to this address. If you presented a poster, please make a pdf or a ppt file of your poster. Please note that reimbursements will not be processed until slides are submitted.

The annual SRCOS Summer Research Conference is designed to bring together statistical researchers at all levels to learn about current areas of investigation and trends in statistics, including statistics education. The conference format consists of morning, early afternoon, and evening sessions, leaving late afternoons open for informal professional discussions and social interaction. Such interactions are important for the development of new faculty and researchers and graduate students, whose participation in Mike Kutner Faculty Contributed Poster Session and Student Poster Competition is especially encouraged.

This year's pleanry speakers are Grace Wahba (Department of Statistics, University of Wisconsin) and Brad Carlin (Division of Biostatistics, University of Minnesota). The banquet speaker is Kathy Ensor (Department of Statistics, Rice University).  Program co-chairs are Jane Harvill (Baylor University) and Ciprian Crainiceanu (Johns Hopkins University).  Local arrangement and conference host committee members are K.B. Kulasekera and Doug Lorenz, University of Louisville.  Ed Boone (Virginia Commonwealth University) will coordinate the Student Poster session and Awards.
