Posters & Awards

The SRCOS Summer Research Conference will host a box lunch poster session on Tuesday, June 4, 2013.

Mike Kutner Faculty Contributed Poster Session

Faculty members at all levels should submit a poster title with a brief abstract electronically (in plain text or LaTeX)  to K.B. Kulasekera by May 01, 2013. SRCOS has limited funds to assist junior faculty and isolated statisticians who present posters in this poster session.

Student Poster Competition

All graduate student attendees are encouraged to participate in the contributed poster session sharing their research with the other conference participants. Posters in any area of statistical methodology and applications are welcome. Student posters will be entered in a competition for the Clint Miller best poster award and a series for R. L. Anderson poster runner-up awards. Awards will be determined by an anonymous panel of judges and announced at the Tuesday evening banquet.

The conference has funding to provide Boyd Harshbarger travel funds to a number of graduate students who present a poster in the program's poster session. The funds are provided by SRCOS and are to be used to offset most of the costs incurred by attending the conference.

Applications may be submitted by advanced doctoral students. Funds will be awarded on a competitive basis. To apply, the applicant should send the following materials to Ed Boone by May 1, 2013. An electronic submission is required simultaneously including (in plain text or LaTeX):

  1. A letter from the student's researcher advisor or Department Chair
  2. A copy of the paper or an extended abstract, and
  3. A copy of the applicant's CV to Ed Boone
