Admissions Requirements

In order to submit an application to one of the School of Public Health and Information Sciences (SPHIS) degree programs, you must apply to the University of Louisville Graduate School.  Admission requirements for each SPHIS degree program are listed below.

Applications are only accepted for the Fall semester. There are no Spring or Summer admissions. There is no formal deadline.

MSc in Clinical Investigation Sciences

Fall semester - August 1 for Fall semester and Summer semester - April 1

Spring semester - accepted with program director approval

MS in Epidemiology

Fall semester - January 1 (International applicants); February 1 (US applicants)

To be competitive for available program scholarship opportunities, applicants should apply on or before March 1 for full consideration.

Master of Public Health (MPH)

Rolling - Students will be admitted for the fall semester only.

Scholarships funds are available on a limited basis.

International students without a visa or green card must apply by March 1 to meet processing deadlines for fall admission.

Students applying to the MPH program can specify a concentration at the time of application or, if they choose, apply without designating a concentration.  The MPH curriculum is designed to allow completion of the core curriculum in the first semester allowing students to explore each of the core areas without designating a concentration.  Students admitted without designating a concentration must select their concentrations by December 1st of the first semester.  This applies to all concentrations except for those students interested in population health management or global health.  If you have further questions, contact the MPH Program Coordinator – Judy Hollkamp at judy.hollkamp@louisville.edu.

Fall Semester - Applications received by Feb. 1 will receive first consideration for admission and funding. Those received after Feb. 1 will be considered based on availability of space in the program. Applications will not be accepted after June 1 for the following fall semester.
