Accreditation
The University of Louisville is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award associate, bachelor, master, specialist, doctoral and first-professional degrees (DMD, JD, MD).
In addition, the School of Public Health and Information Sciences is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the US Department of Education to accredit schools and programs of public health.
The school is currently seeking renewal of its accreditation from CEPH. A team of CEPH reviewers visited SPHIS January 16-18, 2013, and produced a report that will be considered by the CEPH Board of Councilors at its spring meeting, June 6-8, 2013.
