Kentucky Pollution Prevention Center
Description
KPPC is Kentucky's primary resource to help businesses, industries and other organizations develop environmentally sustainable, cost-saving solutions for improved efficiency. Based at the University of Louisville J. B. Speed School of Engineering, KPPC provides technical information and assistance that is free, confidential, and non-regulatory.
Core services include:
- Conducting on-site pollution prevention and energy efficiency assessments to assist clients with problem waste streams and excessive energy use
- Providing technical information, training, and workshops
- Facilitating efficient use of materials by administering a Consultant's Directory and a Recycling Services Directory
KPPC was established in 1994 by the Kentucky General Assembly to help the state's businesses and industries remain competitive in a global market through sound environmental management.
