Qian Zhao

Assistant Professor, Civil & Environmental Engineering


Qian Zhao, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Louisville. Dr. Zhao earned his B.E. in Civil Engineering from Tongji University (2006) and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2013). After completing his Ph.D., Dr.Zhao joined the faculty at the University of Louisville in July 2013. Dr. Zhao's research focuses on Geoenvironmental Engineering topics including physical and chemical properties of organic-coated clays; engineered barrier layer performance assessment; contaminant transport and modeling.
