Neysha Beckham welcomes students, faculty, staff and visitors to Café à la Cart.

Speed students filed into the Kersey Building (Duthie Center for Engineering) on Monday, Aug. 24 for the start of the fall semester. Although the renovation work continues on the outside and the second floor, Cardinal engineers were treated to new classrooms and dining facility on the first floor.

Café à la Cart® is located in room 110 just beyond the staircase on the left. Open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Café à la Cart offers an assortment of fresh fruit, pastries, salads, sandwiches and beverages.

“I’ve been with UofL for 14 years. I know how the Speed students are. They tend to stay on this side of campus because they are so busy,” Neysha Beckham said. “They don’t have time to wait in those other lines.”

Open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Café à la Cart accepts cash, credit cards, meal cards, and Cardinal Cash.

Menu includes:

  • Muffins, Bagels, Scones, Danishes
  • Fresh Salads and Sandwiches
  • Fruit
  • Yogurt
  • Sushi
  • Cookies and Chips
  • Bottled Water, Juice, Soft Drinks, Starbucks® Coffee
  • Assorted Soup, Chili (in season)
