INSPIRE 2009
The INSPIRE program targets female and minority students but all students are encouraged to apply.
INSPIRE 2009
The Speed School will once again host the INSPIRE summer enrichment program for local high school students. The INSPIRE (Increasing Student Preparedness and Interest in the Requisites for Engineering) program targets female and ethnic minority students who traditionally are underrepresented in engineering fields, but the program is open to all.
This year’s program will be held June 8 – July 2 from 9:30AM to 12:30PM with most sessions taking place at the J.B. Speed School of Engineering. Several field trips will also be included.
In order to be considered for the program, students must complete an application and provide a school report and teacher recommendation. The INSPIRE program is free, but students must be able to arrange their own transportation to campus.
To request an application or for additional information, contact program coordinator Prof. Brenda Hart at Brenda@louisville.edu or at 502-852-0440.
