UofL Center for Transportation Innovation involved in partnership that is awarded $3.5 million grant

UofL Center for Transportation Innovation participates in a partnership that was awarded $3.5 million grant to launch Multimodal Transportation and Infrastructure Consortium (MTIC).

"This is the crown jewel of our ten-year partnership with UK on transportation research," said Louis F. Cohn, Professor of Civil & Environmental Engineering.

Key partners in collaborative effort are Center for Transportation Innovation and Logistics and Distribution Institute at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Ky; Marshall University’s Rahall Transportation Institute, Huntington, W.Va.; Kentucky Transportation Center at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky; Eastern Seaboard Intermodal Transportation Application Center at Hampton University, Hampton, Va.

"This is a very significant win! This will bring excellent national visibility to our strengths in Transportation," said Neville Pinto, Dean of J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
