Graduate Admissions

Prospective M.S. and Ph.D. students must apply directly to the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies (SIGS). Additional application documents must subsequently be forwarded directly to SIGS. Once an application is compete, SIGS will forward it to the M.E. Department for consideration.

A complete application includes:

  • the online application form
  • the application fee
  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) results (sent directly from the Education Testing Service)
  • two letters of recommendation
  • official transcripts for all previous undergraduate and graduate work

 

For M.S. program applicants the minimum undergraduate GPA for consideration is 3.0. For Ph.D. program applicants the minimum undergraduate and graduate GPAs for consideration are 3.0 and 3.25, respectively. International students must also submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam. These scores must be sent directly from the testing service.
