Project Support Laboratory - SH 108c
The Mechanical Engineering Project Support Laboratory is a small
but flexible facility used for the support of student design
and research projects. Research prototypes, experimental test
fixtures, and student design prototypes are fabricated in the
facility. Major equipment items include:
- Sharp 13" x 40" lathe
- Bridgeport milling machine
- Horizontal band saw
- Radial drill press
- 55 ton shop press
- Mig welder
- Tig welder
- 5000 lb. hoist
- Thermal dynamic plasma cutter
- Bench grinder
- 15" drill press
- Power and hand tools
- Air compressor
- Hand tools
Students are required to attend a
shop safety seminar and undergo a skills assessment
before using equipment in this facility.
