Research Overview

At the Speed School we perform research on a broad range of engineering topics

Led by faculty, staff and students in academic departments and research centers, this research is supported by multiple Federal, State and company sponsors. These efforts support our mission to advance knowledge and to use that knowledge for the economic development of the greater Louisville region, Kentucky and the nation. Established areas of research excellence include energy and sustainability, advanced manufacturing and logistics, engineering human health, cyber-enabled discovery, and an underpinning strength in materials engineering and nanoscience.
