The faculty and graduate students here in Industrial Engineering are extremely active in research. Sponsors include organizations such as the National Science Foundation, National Institute of Health, US Navy, and the Office of Naval Research, as well as a number of industrial partners who support applied research. We have research experience and expertise in all aspects of industrial engineering including, logistics and supply chains, optimization and modeling, operations, facility layout and location, material handling systems, ergonomics, safety, biomechanics, advanced manufacturing, computer simulation, and more.
