EF Hosts Inaugural Industry Engagement Event

Representatives from Control Touch talk with students during the inaugural Industry Engagement Event hosted by Engineering Fundamentals

Sixteen representatives from Control Touch, GE Appliances, LG&E, Linak, Lantech, and MSD interacted with six teams of first year students as they presented different key components of their academic experience in ENGR 111 (Engineering Methods, Tools, and Practice II). These six teams were selected from 128 total teams based on their oral presentation effectiveness, in addition to their windmill generator final project, design and aesthetics. The industry representatives gave feedback to the students on their presentation skills and their understanding of teamwork, communication, and critical thinking. Control Touch was also honored as a supporter of the course through providing 26 microLogix 830 PLCs and supporting labor in integrating within the course project.
