UofL “Robot Egg-Hunt” Contest
Electrical and Computer Engineering Department

Teams of students in ECE564, Fundamentals of Autonomous Robots, class are designing robots which can collect plastic eggs as a final class project. The robots are autonomous (self-controlled, no human interaction) and designed using LEGO Robotic Invention System 2.0 kits and Handy Board Microcontroller units. The Robot Egg-Hunt contest involves two robots and 16 plastic eggs. The goal of the contest is to collect as many as pastel colored plastic eggs possible while avoiding the black colored plastic eggs in a 2-minute round (special rules apply). At the end of the each individual round, the robot with more pastel colored plastic eggs on its side will be the winner of that round. Each team can receive extra credits depending on the number of the wins they have and number of the plastic eggs they collect!
