"GE's Approach to Sustainable Energy - Globally"
Dr. Aaron Avagliano
Product Engineering Manager for GE's Gasification business
Houston, Texas
The world's energy markets are growing rapidly. Demand is projected to double by 2030. At the same time, climate change and energy security are driving the development of new technology to meet this new demand. Learn how GE Energy is positioning its product portfolio and R&D efforts, and in particular the solution for "clean coal". GE is betting on Gasification, and for power applications this means Integrated Gasification and Combined Cycle. We will discuss GE's progress in this area over the last four years, our R&D plans to improve cost, reliability and efficiency, and look at the future of biomass conversion.
