Load Balancing

Mr. Jamie Whittle

Mr. Whittle’s presentation will be on load balancing.  The presentation will show how companies use load balancing devices to meet demand on their internet-facing resources, as well as, their private resources.  It will detail the advantages of adopting such a strategy and the methods by which it can be achieved.

Mr. Jamie Whittle is the Director of Systems Architecture with Peak10. He is a Speed School graduate with a BS in Chemical Engineering. Mr. Whittle has 12 years of an overall IT experience with 5 years at Peak10. He began his career at an online bank addressing the bank’s web presence and security.  He then moved to work for an application service company that provided financial software delivered through a server based computing model.  After that he went to UPS to oversee their server based computing efforts.  Under his tenure UPS’s Citrix users grew from 1,500 to over 3,000 in Louisville, with a global footprint of over 50,000.  After that Mr. Whittle came onboard at Peak 10.  In his time at Peak 10, he has gained significant experience with virtualization.  His efforts are now based around testing new hardware and software for eventual deployment in Peak10’s production environment.
