Joung Woo Ryu received his B.E., M.E., and Ph.D degrees in Department of Computing from Soongsil University, South Korea in 2005. Dr. Woo was a researcher of engineering staff in the intelligent robot research division at Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), South Korea from 2005 until 2008. Over the last four years, he was a postdoctoral fellow conducting research in the Data Mining laboratory, CECS department, University of Louisville.

Dr. Woo participated in research on two main projects:

1. From October 2008 until December 2009: Implementation of Click Fraud Detection System; the project is supported by NSF, KSF and Hosting.com
2. From September 2010 until August 2011: Development of an Ensemble Prediction Model for a Real-time Click Fraud Analysis System; the project is supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea.
