The seminar is free and open to the public. A reception and social time begins at 3:00 p.m., Seminar at 3:30 p.m.

Three graduate students will be sharing their experiences and impressions from their summer internships.

Lingyu Lyu is a PhD. student in data mining lab at the University of Louisville. She is currently working in the area of crowdsourcing. In the Summer 2015, she did her internship for three months in The Rawlings Group company in Louisville. She is going to present about experience of working over there and her responsibilities. Also, she is going to give a brief introduction about the company and the interview she's going through.

Tegjyot Singh Sethi is a PhD student in the Data mining lab at the University of Louisville. He spent his summer at Google MTV as a Summer Software Engineer (PhD) intern. He worked on the Google Hotels Backend team where he developed an internal tool for them. He is also a member of the UofL Algorithms Club which meets once a week to discuss and collaborate over challenging coding problems.

Elaheh Arabmakki is a PhD candidate in computer science, and currently a member of data mining lab in CECS department. During Summer 2015, she got an internship position as a research scientist at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She will give a presentation about her experience at Mayo and the project she was working on.
