BioInformatics and Biomedical Computing
The primary areas of interest for the bioinformatics lab are:
- Computational analysis of gene regulatory regions
- Variability and tissue specificity of gene products
- Detection and classification of non-functional pseudogenes
- DNA computing for enhanced security
- High throughput bioinformatics computation using general purpose graphics processor units (GPGPUs)
