M.Eng. Degree

The accredited Masters of Engineering Degree (M.Eng.) is typically undertaken by our undergraduates, starting in their last semester of the senior year. This program is designed to allow students to complete an advanced degree in just one year beyond the B.S. Degree. There are two options:

  • Thesis Option: 25 course credits + 6 credits of CECS 697 (MEng Thesis credit). A minimum of 12 credits (of the 25) must be taken at the 600 level. A maximum of 6 non-CECS credits may be taken. This option culminates with a thesis.
  • Non-thesis Option: 28 course credits + 3 credits of CECS 696 (Project). A minimum of 12 credits (of the 28) must be taken at the 600 level. A maximum of 6 non-CECS credits may be taken.

This degree is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
