Grid Computing in the Financial Industry

Abstract:
This talk will focus on the challenges and opportunities for Computer Engineers and Information Technology specialists in data rich environments of the financial industry, applying large scale analytic computational needs using Grid and Cloud based approaches. It will address issues of orchestration, automation, virtualization, distributed caching, data and compute patterns, and optimization.
Biography:
Mr. Pankaj Sahasrabuddhe is a graduate of the University of Louisville (MENG 2004). For Deutsche Bank New York, he works as a Grid Computing Specialist for instensive financial computing projects using Grid and Cloud Computing technologies. His career has focused on financial industries in need of such technologies. He previously worked for HSBC London, HSBC Paris, SocGen Paris, Barclays Capital London, and CitiGroup New York.
