Dr. Elmaghraby Invited As Special Guest for United Nations Day 2012 Celebration

The United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) is a membership organization dedicated to inform, inspire, and mobilize the American people to support the ideals and vital work of the United Nations. For 70 years UNA-USA has worked to accomplish its mission through its national network of Chapters, youth engagement, advocacy efforts, education programs, and public events.

Adel S. Elmaghraby is Professor and Chair of the Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department at the University of Louisville. He is a Board Member of New Directions Housing Corporation and of the Community Foundation of Louisville. He has also held appointments at the Software Engineering Institute - Carnegie-Mellon University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research contributions and consulting spans the areas of: Intelligent Multimedia Systems, Network and Information Security, PDCS, Visualization, and Simulation. He has been recognized for his achievements by several professional organizations including a Golden Core Membership Award by the IEEE Computer Society. He was a Senior Advisor to the EGYPT 2020 Project. Dr. Elmaghraby is a Bingham Fellow from Leadership Louisville, a Fulbright Scholar and a proud Kentucky Colonel.
