Accreditation

The Department of Computer Engineering And Computer Science is part of the J.B. Speed School of Engineering. The Speed School comes under the University of Louisville. Our Department offers Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Master of Engineering (M. Eng.) Degrees. The baccalaureate program in Computer Engineering and Computer Science consists of a four-calendar-year integrated sequence of academic course work and cooperative experience. The B.S. degree program is accredited by the CAC and EAC Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org to meet the Computer Engineering and the Computer Science criteria. The Master of Engineering program courses are offered with specialization in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. The M. Eng. degree program is accredited by the EAC Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org to meet the Computer Engineering criteria. These programs are offered principally on a daytime basis and consists of an integrated sequence of academic course work, cooperative education, and the MENG degree requires individualized thesis/project investigation.


Mission Statement
     The Mission of the CECS Department is to prepare students to enter the computer science and engineering profession or to pursue advanced graduate study with specialty in the areas of computer engineering and computer science.
