Russell Prater is a graduate student whose current research is focused on the impact of an oscillation flow stream on the lift generation of a flat plate. He is looking at configurations that approximate both steady and flapping wing configurations that would be used in micro air vehicle applications. His future research is going to be focused on the development and implementation of an adjoint optimization scheme within the CFD code.
