J.B. Speed Building
The J.B. Speed Scientific School, named for Louisville industrial pioneer James Breckinridge Speed, is home of the university's engineering programs. In 2003, the school was renamed to J.B. Speed School of Engineering. Speed School is unique in that it offers a five-year masters program and requires its students to participate in a cooperative education work experience.
The J.B. Speed Building houses the faculty and advising offices for the engineering school.
