Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS)

The J.B. Speed School of Engineering provides access to information regarding the school's mission, objectives, and the plans, priorities, policies, and processes to achieve those objectives.

The University of Louisville is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4907; Telephone number (404) 679-4501) to award associate, bachelor, master's, doctoral, and first professional degrees (D.M.D., J.D., M.D.).

Mission Statement
The mission of the J. B. Speed School of Engineering is to serve the university, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and the engineering profession by providing high quality educational programs to all students; engaging in research and scholarship that will extend knowledge; and assisting the economic development of the regional, state and national economies through technology transfer.
