Reading and lecture on Ecuadorian Fiction by Writer Solange Rodríguez Pappe

Solange Rodríguez Pappe is one of the leading figures of the current Latin American fiction scene. She received the coveted literary prize Joaquin Gallegos Lara awarded to the best fiction work in Ecuador. She has published eight short story collections:

The list includes her most recent La bondad de los extraños (2014) that has received great critical acclaim.

She publishes periodically in cultural magazines in Latin America and Solange Rodríguez writes essays, audiovisual fiction and leads creative writing workshops.

Solange Rodríguez Pappe has earned a M.A. in in Latin American Lit. from the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar and a B.A. and Communication from the Universidad de Santiago de Guayaquil.  She currently teaches at the Universidad de las Artes in Guayaquil, Ecuador.   Her work as literary critic includes studies of contemporary Ecuadorian science fiction dealing with the apocalyptical views of the world and she studies her contemporary fellow writers.
