SEPTEMBER
Society Picnic - Society Picnic is an event where council cooks food as the students can eat and meet the professional societies at Speed School. It was very successful as we had close to 200 students come out and meet our
societies.
NAESC Regional Conference - This year we are hosting our NAESC (National Association for Engineering Student Councils) Regional Conference. It is a weekend long leadership conference where all accredited engineering schools with councils within our region all meet together to exchange ideas on what works what doesn't, learn about what we do here at the University of Louisville while having fun in the city of Lousiville. We are almost finished setting up for the event which will be held on Oct 9th to the 11th.
Fall Festival - We are also in the middle of planning for Fall Festival.
This annual event is going to held with the help a Huber's, local winery, who will donate pumpkins and apples for our event. We are trying spruce up this event with new and exciting activities like dunking booths with professors.
ABET Forum - With ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering Technologies) coming in the middle of October, we think that it is important for students to know what to expect in the upcoming weeks. We are talking with the Dean for a good day to host an "ABET Forum" where students can have free lunch while asking our Dean on what it is, what they will do and what to expect.
