October REport
GSC is planning a night at the planetarium for graduate students on October 29, 2009. Graduate students and their guests will be able to dress up in Halloween costumes if they choose, be treated to dinner at Qdoba, and a laser show. GSC is in the preliminary planning stages of a research symposium. GSC is also planning to bring in a well known speaker (preferably of national renown) for the Spring semester. We are continuing to work on graduate health care issues and safety issues. We have had a great response from the graduate student body on getting input about these issues.
